What We Believe.

I. THE BIBLE

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the sole authority for faith and life, inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed. We believe the King James Version to be the providentially preserved Word of God in the English Language. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:7; Hebrews 4:12)

II. THE TRINITY

We believe there is the one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7)

III. THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ to be the eternal Son of God. We believe He was born of the virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe His purpose in coming to Earth was to reveal God in the flesh and accomplish the redemption of sinful men through His substitutionary death on the cross. We believe that he bodily rose from the dead on the third day. (John 1:1-2; John 1:14; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; Luke 19:10; John 19:30; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

IV. THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit to be a person, the third member of the Trinity. We believe He is responsible for reproving the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. We believe He baptizes all believers into the body of Christ, comforting them, teaching them, and guiding them into all truth. We believe that He indwells and seals all believers unto the Day of Redemption (John 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 1:13-14)

V. THE PERSONALITY OF SATAN

We believe Satan to be a person, created by God as an angelic being. We believe that he fell through sinful rebellion, and that he is the declared and open enemy of God and man. We believe he will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.  (Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:13-19; Matthew 4:2-11; Revelation 20:10)

VI. CREATION AND THE FALL OF MAN

We believe God created the universe in six, literal 24-hour days. We believe God created man in His own image, perfect, yet with a free will. We believe the first man, Adam, by choosing disobedience to God plunged the whole human race into sin and death. We believe that all born after Adam have inherited a sin nature and are accountable to God for their sinful choices. (Genesis 1 & 2; Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

VI. SALVATION

We believe salvation to be by grace through faith, and not the result of our own works. We believe salvation is freely available to every person who believes on Jesus Christ, and Him alone. We believe that for a person to be saved he or she must be born again by repenting and calling upon the name of the Lord. We believe that once a person has been truly saved, that person is eternally secure and can never lose their salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Acts 4:12; John 3:3; Romans 10:9-13; John 10:28-30)

VII. THE CHURCH

We believe the local church to be the “called-out” assembly of believers who have truly been born again. We believe the church is the bride of Christ, and as such ought to be pure and holy before God, separated from sin, false doctrine, and the world. We believe the church to be the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. We believe there are two ordinances of the local church: the remembrance of Jesus’ death through communion, and baptism of believers by immersion. We believe the responsibility of the local church is to glorify God through worship; to edify, exhort, and encourage fellow believers; and to reach the lost with the gospel. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18; Acts 2:47; Ephesians 5:23-27; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28; 1 Timothy 3:15)

VIII. THE END TIMES

We believe in the pre-millennial, pre-tribulation Rapture of the Church, where all believers still alive on the earth will be caught up to meet Jesus in the clouds. We believe after the Rapture there will a seven-year period known as the Tribulation. We believe that after the Tribulation Christ will return physically to the earth at His second coming to set up His millennial kingdom, a 1,000-year reign where Christ rules the earth. We believe that after the millennial kingdom has ended, Satan, the Beast, and the False Prophet, along with death and hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire, and that the redeemed will spend eternity with God in the new Heaven and the new Earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Matthew 24 & 25; Revelation 20 & 21)
